GIANT SHOES, MORPH SUITS AND FLU FIGHTERS! VIVID PROMOTIONAL MARKETING CELEBRATES THEIR 5TH BIRTHDAY

21/11/2011

Vivid Promotional Marketing takes a walk down memory lane, remembering some of their most successful and imaginative campaigns - as they celebrate 5 years of promotional marketing and hold the party of the ‘promo’ year.

Born close to the banks of the River Tyne in 2006, Vivid PM quickly became a trusted favorite amongst media, marketing and pr agencies across the UK. They specialise in bringing campaigns to life using face to face engagement, and over the past 5 years they have infused a touch of ‘vivid’ into the world of promotional marketing.

Whether its sex-in-the-city style pretzel picnics on your local high street, Wallace and Gromit roadshows or the Flu patrol (complete with Flu Fighters!)- roaming the north east to promote the flu jab, Vivid can both create or integrate any concept into a high impact style of marketing - to a whole range of audiences. They use a range of high quality staff carefully selected for each campaign, so the brand is represented by the best.

Emma Seheult, MD of Vivid comments;

“We are bombarded with images, adverts and even product placement during our favourite TV programmes. With big brands competing for market share and brand awareness brands are increasingly turning to good old fashioned face to face marketing and actually talking to their audience.

Vivid take face to face marketing to a new level, we believe that when our staff undertake just a short engagement with an individual, they can alter their perception on the brand for a lifetime.

We are really proud of our staff and have excellent relationships with a whole range of clients so to celebrate 5 years in the business we are having a party!”

Vivid has even more reason to celebrate this year, after beating off fierce competition from across the nation, to be short-listed in the Targeting and Evaluation category of the Field Marketing and Brand Experience Awards the awards. Along with Penn State, Vivid was up against fellow big brand names such as Nintendo 3DS, Tropicana and Garmin!

The party is being held at Florita’s in Newcastle City Centre, and will play host to clients, friends of vivid and staff, we also have This Morning celeb chef Stacie Stewart will be adding a little bit of glamour to the catering with special ‘Vivid Nibbles’ on offer.

PROMOTING PRETZELS! VIVID IS SHORT-LISTED IN A NATIONAL AWARD...FOR A CAMPAIGN WITH A BIT OF BITE

09/07/2011

Vivid has beat off national competition to be short listed in the Field Marketing and Brand Experience Awards, for their work with nationwide snack company - Penn State.

Beating off fierce competition from across the nation, Vivid has been short-listed in the Targeting and Evaluation category on the awards. Along with Penn State, Vivid will be up against fellow big brand names such as Nintendo 3DS, Tropicana and Garmin.

 The Field Marketing and Brand Experience awards were launched in 2005 and are well respected in the industry, only cherry picking the best of the best from creative industries around the UK. The Targeting and Evaluation category in which Vivid has been short-listed is particularly competitive, with clients demanding to see the full affect each campaign has had on their business, and of course, how their chosen audience has been strategically targeted throughout.

 Emma Seheult, Vivid's Managing Director comments;

“We were absolutely thrilled to hear we had been short-listed! The Penn State campaign was particularly successful; we reached and exceeded expectations in terms of raising brand and product awareness, and market share in a heavily populated snack market. Promoting Penn State was also great fun, consisting of a national road-show, which took us across the width and breadth of England.

With our target audience in mind – we designed a ‘sex in the city’ style theme on our promotional stand, and offered tasty Penn State treats to the passing public. All of our staff were carefully chosen and trained to encourage interaction with other elements of the Penn State campaign which included social networking, competitions and local/national PR. On a daily basis they also collected detailed feedback on PDA’s and carefully monitored interaction – this evaluated each evening through.”

The finals of the Field Marketing and Brand Experience Awards will be held on October 5th 2011 at Marriot Hotel, Mayfair, London and will play host to some of the biggest names in the creative industries sector.

NOT JUST A PRETTY FACE

12/01/2011

Vivid recently organised their very own promotion; after a delightfully busy summer working on some national road shows and campaigns, Vivid wanted to remind local marketing and design agencies what they can do in the run up to the Christmas period.

Touring the region, the Vivid street team gave out free coffee from a fully branded coffee bike and gave businesses an insight into the variety of services we can offer.

Promotional staff wore sweatshirts bearing the campaign slogan ‘Not just a pretty face...’ and on the reverse invited people to ask them the off side rule. This activity was designed to demonstratehow effective face to face marketing can be in explaining complicated and differentiated messages and the benefits of ‘humanising’ brands through brand ambassadors.

‘At first it was a bit daunting to put together a campaign that focussed on our own services but it really helped to be able to see from our clients perspective how effective face to face marketing is’ said Michelle Tait, Project Manager adding ‘we really wanted to be very targeted in our efforts, and ensure we made ourselves visible to those agencies we wanted to engage with'

From a brief, Vivid can develop a range of creative ideas that fully integrate into larger marketing campaigns. Vivid effectively become the agency’s secret weapon; discreetly producing a top class promotion on their behalf. They also supply event management, including logistics and venue liaison, data capture, road shows, PR stunts and corporate hospitality etc.

Michelle summed up “The feedback we received from the promotion was fantastic and has given us a good push into the New Year, with some exciting prospects and opportunities to develop client relationships. In terms of getting our message out there, the promotion was a huge success for us; Vivid remains at the forefront of the promotions industry in the North East and we are more than just a pretty face!”

INNOVATIVE NEW PROMOTIONS SERVICE TARGETS THE NORTH EAST

29/10/2009

Promotional marketing specialist, Vivid, has widened its suite of products with the launch of ‘Flyerpower’, its targeted distribution service.

Rather than leafleting or postering en-mass, Vivid targets venues and locations with the highest potential impact and focuses on them for leaflets and postering. This cuts costs as bulk distribution is unnecessary. This also means that Vivid is able to work with the focus venues to ensure that their clients get optimal exposure and the venue staff know all about the promotion - often putting up posters, briefing them and leaving them with info packs with follow-up information.

The service has already been used with great success by a range of clients ranging from Business Enterprise North East to Nexus and the Sunderland Empire.

"Our aim, in all our work, is to move from promotion to persuasion." commented Managing Director Emma Seheult. "Flyerpower combines the broadcast potential of outdoor postering and leaflet distribution with the consumer dialogue of face-to-face marketing. We work closely with our agency partners, such as Mike Lynch Advertising, to ensure that we get the message and the targeting right for our clients."

The successful launch of the product has meant that Vivid have developed a special team to serve the North East and is busy expanding the service to some of its national promotional clients.

Vivid employ teams of specialist promotional staff to deliver award winning and unique face-to-face experiences for products launches, sampling, youth campaigns and social marketing.

"We’re finding that clients are turning more and more to promotional and face-to-face marketing this year as they find that it gives them immediate impact, positive results and represents one of the few ways to establish a two way dialogue direct with their customers at street level"

"We've spent the past year working with some of the most creative and forward-thinking marketing agencies and clients in the North East and across the UK. Vivid partners with other agencies who are keen to bring fresh new ideas to their clients. We specialise in offering solutions that integrate, elaborate and celebrate existing marketing strategies through promotional marketing initiatives” said Emma Seheult, Managing Director of Vivid.
